Deplorable Condition of roads in Surulere rehabilitated after complaints to PCC

DEPLORABLE CONDITION OF ROADS IN SURULERE, SURULERE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The above complaint dated 24th June, 2014 was initiated by the Commission against the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Alausa – Ikeja. It borders on the deplorable condition of roads on Olufemi Road and Kilo Road, both in Surulere.

These roads were tarred not too long ago, before they were eroded, due to stagnant water on the roads.

The Commission, wrote to the Honourable Commissioner, Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructures, Alausa, Ikeja on 6th August, 2014, to rehabilitate these roads.

On 12th September, 2014, a letter was written to the Commission from the State Ministry of Works and Infrastructures, that these roads and several others within the state have been rehabilitated.

Following this development, the Director of Investigation declared the case closed on 19th September, 2014.
